B2 Recipe: Savory Tomato Basil Dip

Ingredients:

1 Lg. Container B2 Cafe Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Cheese
1/2 C. Sour Cream
1/2 C. Mayonnaise
1/4 to 1/3 C. Fresh Basil
1 Clove Garlic, finely minced
Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, to taste

 

 

 

 

Preparation:

COMBINE all ingredients except the basil in a food processor.

PULSE until well incorporated.

ADD Basil and pulse until fully blended.

SAMPLE a taste and add extra salt, pepper, or crushed red pepper as needed.

CHILL for 1-2 hours.

SERVE with fresh veggies or bagel chips.

B2 Recipe: Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 B2 Cafe Bagel (any savory flavor will work!)
2 oz. Sliced Turkey
1 Tbsp. Mayo
2 Tbsp. Cranberry Sauce
1/4 C. Stuffing

 

Preparation:

SLICE bagel in half.

SPREAD mayo on top half of bagel and cranberry sauce on the bottom half.

SCOOP stuffing onto bottom half of bagel.

LAYER turkey atop the stuffing.

TOP with the other half of the bagel.

B2 Recipe: Bagel Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

4 C. B2 Cafe Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, diced
4 C. Whole Milk
1/2 C. Butter, melted 
3 Eggs
3/4 C. Sugar
1/4 C. Honey
1 C. Shredded Coconut
1/2 C. Pecans, chopped
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg

Preparation:

PREHEAT oven to 350 F.

GREASE a large baking dish with butter.

WHISK milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, sugar, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg in a separate bowl until sugar dissolves.

SPREAD bagel chunks into the bottom of the baking dish.

SPRINKLE with shredded coconut and pecans.

POUR liquid mixture over dry ingredients.

BAKE for 45 minutes or until crispy and golden.

TOP with crème fraîche (or ice cream for dessert!) and enjoy!

B2 Recipe: Sweet & Savory Bagel Chips

Ingredients:

Sweet Bagel Chips:

4-6 B2 Cafe Cinnamon Raisin bagels, sliced thin
1/3 Stick Butter, melted
3 Tbs. Sugar
2 Tbs. Cinnamon

Savory Bagel Chips:

4 – 6 B2 Cafe bagels, sliced thin (try different flavors to find your favorite)
1/4 C. Olive Oil
2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
2 1/2 Tbsp. Paprika
2 Tbs. Kosher Salt
1 Tbs. Black Pepper
1 Tbs. Onion Powder
1 Tbs. Dried Oregano
1 Tbs. Dried Thyme
Dash Cayenne Pepper

Preparation:

PREHEAT oven to 300 degrees F.

LINE baking sheets with parchment paper.

SLICE bagels horizontally in as many thin slices as possible.

AIM for 8-10 slices per bagel.

SPREAD bagel slices into single layer on baking sheet.

BRUSH with olive oil or butter, depending on chosen recipe.

COMBINE dry ingredients.

SPRINKLE over bagel slices.

BAKE for 10 minutes.

FLIP and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

REMOVE when crisp and golden.

B2 Recipe: Pumpkin Cookie Sandwiches

Ingredients:

Serving Size: 18-20 sandwiches (2 cookies each)

Cookies:

  • 2 1/2 C. Flour
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 Tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1/2 C. Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 C. Sugar
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 2 Lg. Eggs
  • 2 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 C. Whole Milk
  • 1 Can Pumpkin

Filling:

  • 3/4 Stick Butter
  • 1 Lg. Container B2 Cafe Plain Cream Cheese
  • 1.5 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 3 Tbs. Maple Syrup
  • 2 C. Powdered Sugar

Preparation:

HEAT oven to 350°.

LINE cookie sheet with silicone liner or greased parchment paper.

COMBINE flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice in a bowl.

MIX butter, brown sugar, white sugar in separate bowl until fluffy.

BEAT in eggs and vanilla until blended.

ADD milk and pumpkin puree until combined.

MIX in dry ingredients until fully incorporated. Do not overmix.

DROP batter onto cookie sheets.

BAKE 13-15 minutes. Bottom should be lightly browned and top should be firm to touch.

COOL for 10 minutes on the sheet before moving to wire rack.

COMBINE filling ingredients in bowl and mix thoroughly.

FROST cookie bottom.

TOP with another cookie to form sandwich.

REPEAT, then EAT!

B2 Recipe: Warm Asiago Cheddar & Bacon Dip

Ingredients:

Serving Size: Enough for a party full of hungry guests (20-25 guests, to be exact!)

8 Slices crispy bacon, available at B2 Cafe
2 Lg. Containers B2 Cafe Asiago Cheddar Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 C. Mayonnaise
1/4 C. Sour Cream
1/2 C. Swiss Cheese, shredded
1/2 C. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
2 Green Onions, finely chopped
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
6 Buttery Crackers, crushed
Fresh veggies, crackers or crusty bread to serve with your dip

 

 

 

Preparation:

CRUMBLE bacon and set aside. Reserve about a 1/4 cup for later. If you did not purchase your bacon already cooked, start by cooking it over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Drain, crumble and set aside.

MIX cream cheese, mayo, and sour cream until smooth.

INCORPORATE onion powder and garlic powder into creamy mixture.

STIR in shredded cheese, green onions, and bacon.

TRANSFER to an oven-safe dish.

BAKE for 15 minutes. Remove dish from oven and stir.

TOP with crumbled crackers and return to the oven for 5 minutes.

FINISH with remaining 1/4 cup of bacon.

SERVE and enjoy.

B2 Recipe: Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake

Ingredients:

4 Lg. Containers B2 Cafe Pumpkin Pie Cream Cheese
10-12 Graham Crackers, Crumbled
1/2 C. White Sugar
1.5 Tbsp. Brown Sugar plus 1.5 Tbsp. White Sugar (combined)
1/3 C. Butter, melted
1 Tsp.  Vanilla
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon
4 Eggs
2 C. Whipped Cream (homemade or store bought will work)
Handful crushed pecans, for garnish

Tools Needed:

Springform Pan (makes removing cheesecake from the pan much easier, trust us!)
Butter Knife for separating crust from the pan’s edge

Preparation:

HEAT oven to 325°F.

MIX graham cracker crumbs, 1.5 Tbsp. white sugar, 1.5 Tbsp. brown sugar and melted butter until fully incorporated.

PRESS mixture into bottom of 9-inch springform pan.

WHIP cream cheese, 1/2 cup white sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon with electric mixer until well blended.

INCORPORATE eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed just until blended. Do not overmix.

POUR mixture over crust.

BAKE 55 min. or until center is almost set. Loosen cake from pan by running a knife around the border.

COOL completely before removing springform rim.

REFRIGERATE 4-6 hours before serving.

TOP with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed pecans, if desired.

In addition to direct team sponsorship, guests can stop by our Winter Springs location on game days to participate in Spirit Nights, which will involve fun, food and special deals for team supporters.

It’s that time of year again! Fall is upon us and although it’s only October, it’s never too early to start prepping for the holidays. This year, we want to help make your holidays extra-special, extra-delicious and hopefully a little less stressful, too.

We are excited to announce that from now until the end of the year, we will be posting recipes and tips for ALL your holiday entertaining needs! Whether your family celebrates with casual fare or the fanciest of feasts, we’ve got you covered.

B2 Cafe Participates in “The Heart of UCUMC” Auction

B2 Cafe is delighted to be able to participate in Winter Springs’ own “Heart of UCUMC” auction. It is the first silent auction at University Carillon United Methodist Church located at 1395 Campus View Court in Oviedo, Florida. Proceeds will benefit seven local and global mission organizations, including:

  • The HOPE Foundation in Oviedo
  • The Interfaith Hospitality Network in Orlando
  • The Florida United methodist Children’s Home in Enterprise, FL
  • Jackie’s House in the Dominican Republic
  • The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
  • “Horn of Africa Advance,” benefitting children in Somalia
  • Zion Methodist Children’s Home in the Bahamas
  • Zoe Ministry in Rwanda, Africa

Participating in community events, especially those which give back to our local neighborhoods and to organizations throughout the world is what makes the team at B2 Cafe most proud of the business they’ve been able to create. For this particular event, B2 Cafe has donated gift cards to be sold at the silent auction. Finding out that B2 Cafe is one of the pastor’s favorite restaurants was just the icing on the cake!
